eligibility for a sinle Family Pass.
Minutes from the April 2 TAC meeting were approved with the following revision:
• Under the sub - heading "Transit Subsidy Costs" add an Action Item about capturing
the transit subsidy costs as a separate line item in the FY2014 budget. The source of
these funds also came into question, but was not resolved.
Jeanette Rebecchi noted that writing up the TAC Minutes is taking her a lot of time and
asked whether committee members could assume this responsibility.
2. Lexpress Fares for FY2013
® Jeanette's proposals for revisions to the single ride fare structure were reviewed. The
proposal is intended to address the non - compliance problem with senior fares (cannot
be more than 50% of the full cost fare) and to encourage purchase of passes and
tickets rather than cash payment. Jeanette's proposals were accepted (except for the
change in age for Seniors, which is to remain at 65 yrs) by a vote of the Committee.
The FY13 Fare Structure to be presented to the Board of Selectmen for approval is:
o No Burlington Mall Surcharge
o Transfers remain at $0.25 except for Children age 0 -5 (free)
o Adults (age 19 -65) fare increased from $1.50 to $2.00
o Students (age 6 -18) fare increased from $1.50 to $1.75
o Seniors (age 65 +) fare remains at $0.75
o Books of tickets remain at $20 for 14 tickets
The following schedule for Lexpress bus pass fees was passed by a vote of the

the same as last year

o The cost of an Annual Family Pass to remain at $725
3. FlexPass Rate
Jeanette's memo on FlexPass program changes and costs was reviewed. The Committee
voted to accept the proposed cost, increase in program hours, and inclusion of Middle School
students (6 th 7 th , and 8 Grades). Specifically for FYI 3:
o Cost of the FlexPass for students purchasing a School Bus Pass is $50 per student in
addition to the cost of the school bus pass (family caps do not apply to the FlexPass
cost)
o FlexPass accepted on all runs starting at 3:30 PM or later (FY12 is at 4:00 PM or
later)
o FlexPass to be offered to all High School and Middle School students
4. Redesign of Printed Lexpress Schedule
Jeanette distributed printed copies of a new design for the schedule. It is set on Legal Size
paper with a tri -fold instead of Letter Size paper with a bi -fold, making the print size for the
schedule times larger. Committee members were encouraged to review the material and send
comments to Jeanette.
