Meeting started 7.30 PM
CEC members present: George, Narain, Tom, Charlie
1. Minutes of previous meeting accepted
2. Resolution on "Hate Crime" approved unanimously in response to the attack on Indian
American residence on Lillian St.
3. Discussion on time line for the warrant and special election. Decision by the BOS by
9/24-- time too short for Dec election.
4. Presentation of elementary school capital plan. SC not ready for fall override, will be
ready by Spring. Spring issues:
a. Swing space cost -- is it right to have two swing spaces
b. Acceptability of 2.5 acres -- state regtulations
c. Comparative costs -- New Vs Renovation
d. Need to educate the town citizens
5. SC resolved Spring override, 2 schools, 2 swing space plan
6. SC to provide info. on Jan 14, summit on Jan 28, special meeting first day of town
meeting March 24, override May-02
7. Roads to go in May-02 override
8. Mention of impact of change in composition of BOS in Spring.
