CEC minutes - 29 November 2000 (approved)
The meeting was called to order at about 7:30 PM by the chairman.
All members of the committee were present: Tom Griffths (TG), Shirley Stolz
(SS), George Burnell (GB), Narain Bhatia (NB), and Charles Hornig (CH). We
were joined by Sheldon Spector (Appropriations), Robin DiGiamarino (School
Committee), and John Moynahan (staff).
Robin and John presented the schools' 5-year capital plan.
The schools will come back to us with better numbers for the ongoing
technoplogy replacement costs.
TG gave highlights of the Gang of 8 meeting. Health insurance costs are the
big issue this year.
The SCSC is closing in on a few sites, but they may be bad ones.
TG will explore whether we should bring forward an article on the roads this
year at Gang of 8.
People wanted to wait and see what the reaction was to the SBRCFAC report.
The meeting was adjourned at about 9 PM. Minutes were taken and submitted
