Capital Expenditures Committee
Proposed Minutes February 10th, 2000 Joint Meeting with Appropriation Committee
1. Meeting was called to order by the Chairmen in Room 105 at 7:45pm. All
members were present: Narain Bhatia, George Burnell, Tom Griffiths, Charles
Hornig, and Shirley Stolz.
2. Charles presented the Capital Expenditures Committee recommendations. Please

see the attachments to the Proposed Minutes of the February 9 Meeting.
3. Members of the Appropriation Committee expressed three primary concerns with
the presentation:

None of the out-year numbers were adjusted for inflation.
??
Paul Hamburger worried that the elementary school construction figures
were too low and that circulating them would cause problems when they
inevitably grew.
??
Considerable pessimism concerning the ambitious start date of the
elementary school construction.
4. The Capital Expenditures portion of the meeting adjourned at approximately
8:45pm.
