Agenda Minutes April 9, 2012
Lexington Arts and Crafts Society
Present: Zoe Perry Wood, Chair; Jan Gopelrud; Victoria Campos, secretary; Emily
Passman; Chris Kyle, Treasurer; and Meg Landers, guest.
Absent: Reggie Gibson; Jackie Hawkinson; Diamond Hayes
Zoe called the meeting to order at 7:30pm.
Chris made a motion to accept Jan. minutes; Approved.
Topics Discussed:
• Treasurer's Report: $8,364.23 balance in LCA account (This amount includes
the $3870 MCC allocation for LCA's 2012 budget and the $2K in our Patron's
Fund.)
• Tricia Keneally at Dana House has offered her place to host the Open Studios
Artists' Reception; offer contingent on her catering the event. LCA to help
pay for food ($500).
• Idea to have LCA distribute donation boxes to all participating artists' homes;
tent; LACS; Lexington Visitor's Center; float this idea at Open Studios Meeting
at 2pm Dana Home 4.10.12
• LCA members to contact the LCA recipient listed below and personally invite
them to the artists' reception at the Dana Home on May 17th. [See MCC site

Month of May: have LCA PR materials available in Open Studios Tent to be
set up in Depot Square; also want to have grant announcement at all artist's
studios. Meg to contact Ariel Plotkin to get help in designing the LCA
brochure; Jan to collaborate
Website Development: Dinner Meeting proposed at 97 Adams at 7pm on
Tuesday, April 17
New Business:
• Approval of brochure and website design
• Last minute details re Open Studios Artists' Reception
Meeting adjourned at 9pm. Next meeting May 14th in Cary Library.
