Lexington Youth Committee
Minutes of Meeting of Thursday September 13
A meeting of the Lexington Youth committee was held on Thursday September 13 from
7:00 to 8:00 at Estabrook Hall on the lower level of the Cary Memorial Hall.
The members present were: Abby Grant, Sara Lehman, Janelle Franklin, Joslyn Battite,
Carolyn Avery, Michael Barry, Becca and Jackie Denning, Annie and Jake Douvas,
Lindsay Stevenson, Gillian Goolkasian, Jillian Jandl, James and Shaun McLaughlin,
Natalia Pronchick, Andrew Wang, Thomas Wood, Eva Goldfinger, Elizabeth Coons,
Scott Cunningham, Caitlyn Dooley, Emilia and Nic Fusco, Lee Katz, Jack McCullough,
Chris Grant, James Laurenzi, John Lahiff, Ben Liebeskind, Andrea Michelson, John
Mullen, Mark Solomon, Ashley Walsh, Sean Maloney, Shannon DeGulielmo, Doug
Lucente and Karen Duperey.
The members absent were: Sara Fopiano and Mariel Winton, Debbie Hankins, Jenna
Busa, and Peter Kelley.
First thing's first, if you forgot to bring an photo ID for the CORI check please remember
to get that done before the next meeting by bringing it in to the Town Hall. People who
still need to get there CORI's done are: Jenna Busa, Debbie Hankins, Joslyn Battite, Sara
Fopiano, Martel Winton, Jake Douvas, Jack McCullough, James McLaughlin, John
Mullen, John Lahiff, Annie Douvas, and Gillian Goolkasian.If you tell the people at the
town clerks office that you are part of LYC they will gladly take care of it for you. It is
important to do this, or else you will not be able to participate in -group activities.
Next meeting, which is going to be on October 11 in the Bird Room (top floor of Cary
Hall) we will be collecting money from the candy that we are selling. Every member is
expected to bring $30 the next meeting, except for group leaders and President, V.P., and
Secretary who will be responsible for bringing $34 This money will be donated to the
Food Pantry, it is important we give our donation on time, so remember it in October.
Also, please bring your ideas for a new tee shirt design. Please do not be shy whether
you're a freshman or a senior; your contributions will be equal. If you have thought of
any new ideas for the float, feel free to bring ideas on those too. If you had not
remembered the one we had talked about at the meeting was Farming/Freedom/Family.
If you had signed up for the Annual Fall LYC Island Clean up, which is on Tues October
2nd at 5:30, please be there. Remember to bring appropriate clothing for weeding and
planting. So far I have that Sara, Abby, Chris, James, Scott, Michael, Ben, Joslyn,
Gillian, Emilia, Ashley, Elizabeth, Jackie, Carolyn, Becca, Jake, and Andrea as defiantly
coming and Andrew, Lee, Mark, John and Tomas as maybes.
Next meeting we will be talking about decorating the center for Halloween. This event
may cause you to miss class at school, so if you do not know you're schedule, please
bring a copy so you can decide whether or not you can participate.
