spoke with members of the Arlington Cultural Council about their ACC-sponsored events She
noted that the Arlington Cultural Council has 11 members LAC members need to recruit more
members for us to remain viable beyond mid-October, when Allan Adolph's term expires
Barbara said that Allan Adolph was to contact the Librarn Director to arrange a three-wa` meeting with
himself, Rawson and the new LAC chair(Barbara)to discuss the status of the Patrons Fund gift to the
Librarn of a sculpture
Lexington's grant allotment from the Massachusetts Cultural Council increased from $3390 to
$4230, which the Council will divide between school PASS grants and artist/organization grants
Because last year's records are incomplete, Treasurer Mary Trometer will check with the school
principals of Bridge and Estabrook Schools about whether they submitted the forms for
reimbursement or have received reimbursement Janet Post will call Marcia Steere of Sharing a
New Song to see if they have performed and/or received reimbursement
The treasurer's report was discussed and accepted. The secretary's minutes were accepted.
Bill will do a poster for the LAC and give it to Mary to post at the Farmers Market
Janet will put a notice about the LAC grant availability in the Lexington Minuteman Arts section
which should run until the October 15th application deadline It should also be posted on the
Cary Library bulletin board.
Bill talked about the Patrons Fund, Mary will determine its exact finances
Barbara thought that the Arlington Cultural Council's projects bring them good P.R. Mary thinks
the LAC should do an event
Bill will consider the list of names to which the Patrons Fund letter was sent on 4/20/05
Question is how effective a new mailing would be or should we try to do something different
Barbara adjourned the meeting at 9 30 p m. The next meeting will be on Monday, October 2,
