Chairperson Barbara Ciampa called this special meeting to order at 2:30 p.m.on Monday,
th
November 13 in Room 111, Town Office Building. The purpose of the meeting was to
further discuss LAC grant applications and make decisions on disapproval and approval

It was clarified that school PASS grant applications are for projects that will take
place off school grounds, such as field trips. Funding for school projects that will take
place on school grounds during school hours should be applied for on LCC application
forms.

Of 39 grant applications that we received, 25 were disapproved. Janet Post will send
letters of disapproval to those applicants. The letters will include instructions for
reconsideration. Disapproved applicants will have two weeks to appeal the decision.
Of the remaining 13 applicants, two were fully funded and 11 were partially
funded.
Barbara Ciampa, a member of the Lexington Symphony Orchestra’s Advisory
Board, and Janet Post, a Board Member of the Lexington Pops Chorus, recused
themselves from voting on the respective two applications.
Copies of all applications and details of decisions will be kept on file with other
LAC materials in the Town Office Building.
