Jan Goplerud and Zoe Perry-Wood were kind enough to sit in on this meeting. We hope
they can join us in the future. We also had George Burnell present, our official liaison to
the Town Selectmen.
Secretary’s Report
The secretary’s report for March 5 was accepted.
Treasurer’s Report
Treasurer Mary Trometer will be in discussions with Janet Post to clarify records. It was
acknowledged that Mary must have the final report ready for submission to the MCC.
MCC/LCA Business
Barbara noted that the Massachusetts Cultural Council contact person, Kylie Sullivan,
reminded the Council of our responsibility to elicit community input and feedback. We
discussed options such as a pamphlet/handout and/or a published invitation to the public
to attend our open meetings.
We later discussed how to best attain acknowledgement of the LCA and MCC grants on
school permission slips for LCA-subsidized events.
We also discussed getting out a yearly letter to school administrators requesting that they
prioritize and organize the various requests for grants that come from their respective
schools.
Web Site Ideas
Sirarpi will investigate the process of getting a designated LCA web site, possibly via the
Lexington Town site, which George Burnell noted would soon be restructured and
revamped.
Membership Status
Jon will complete the MCC On-Line Training. We all expressed our pride for his
achievement.
LCA logo
Jonathan has sketched/mocked-up an idea for the new LCA logo, stemming from the
group discussions from past meetings, utilizing the imagery of the Minuteman statue.
More progress, in conjunction with Mary and Louise, is the goal by the May meeting.
Patrons Fund
Discussion about the approval from Town Manager Carl Valenti for the LCA to include a
request for contributions to the Patron’s Fund in a quarterly property tax mailing. Barbara
thought she could put a draft of a simple appeal for the P.F.together for next LCA
meeting.

Mary pointed out that our tax ID comes under the Town of Lexington tax ID number.
Donations should be sent to Lexington Council of the Arts, c/o Town of Lexington,
