Grant Business:

available and how to apply for funding by the 10/15/08 deadline. We are also going to hand them out at
our Discovery Day table.
New Business:
Art Walk: Janet and Louise chose 8 pieces of art for our Art Hunt at the Society of Arts and Crafts last
week. Louise, Mary and Janet met to decide on the clues for the art. Jan is going to type up the game for
us. We may put pictures of some of the artwork, ones not in the hunt, on the Lexington Wicked Local
website. Also discussed was how to distribute the Art Hunt flyer/game & general logistics of
implementing it.
· Discovery Day: Jackie will oversee our table from 10 AM- noon. Barbara will be there from noon-
2:00. We still need someone to be at our table from 2:00-4:00 PM.
th
· October 4 there will be a program at the National Heritage Museum sponsored by the MCC.
Statewide local cultural councils will be invited and we have been asked to host the reception from 6 to 8
PM. Barbara will connect with the MCC program planner for the event for more information. She also
made a connection with the new hotel in town for some financial support to our Arts Council.
· Website: The LCA website is a work in progress and will be discussed further at the next meeting
after the subcommittee has a chance to meet.
· The Dimmock Award is presented at the end of May at the LHS Pops. We will write a check for
$250 for the LHS recipient of the award.
· John Root was awarded a grant by us and was pictured in the Lexington Minuteman last week.
There wasn’t any mention of the LCA in the paper, which is required by the recipient to mention.
