Date, Time and Location : Wednesday December 13, 2006 6:00 Town Hall Room 111 Members Present: Alessandro Alessandrini Steve Kropper Christopher Haines Keith Ohmart Paul Chernick Hank Manz Record of Votes. Meeting opened Meeting adjourned Agenda: Formal report on Energy Management from the School Department Development of a formal report was discussed. DPW building recomendations 1.Can DPW do its work with vehicles stored in a low cost unheated shed (vs heated garage) 2.What energy design options (production chips, GWHP) were considered and rejected? 3.Are the required building/energy management skills compatible with municipal capabilities (staff or contracted). Additional staffer? 4.What are the forecast operating costs for various options? Modeling and costs. 5. Need third party energy consultant to review and propose modifications to the existing building. Suggestion courtesy of Roger B. 6. Give us list of energy options you have considered and 7. Incremental improvements over minimum Building Code requirements Roger reports that there may be rebates from MTC if photovoltaic cells are installed on the roof. Street Light Replacement Procurement of bulbs and a plan for replacement was discussed. Is there a line item in the budget for energy manager. Question to be posed to Carl Valente, Town Manager. ECC Plan for the next Year/Proposal to the Alessandro will develop, circulate and “own” getting submitting a TM Warrant covering energy related capital/short term spending as well as a proposed energy savings fund prior to 12/28/06. 20/20 Sustainability: Moving that the town CCP program, do a climate action plan. Propose to establish a 20/20 task force. CPA: Need to insert energy considerations into CPA budget proposals. Meeting closed at 7:30 PM.
