Meeting Minutes
1. Meeting convened at 7:00 p.m.
2. In attendance Chris Casey
Edith Flynn
Gerald McLeod
William Hayes
Sgt. Joseph O’Leary, guest presenter
3. Reviewed and approved new Performance Evaluation Program for patrol officers
and detectives including Evaluation Forms and Performance Expectations.
4. Reviewed and approved new Field Training Officer Evaluation Program
including Instructors Manual and Probationer Handbook version 3.0
5. Other materials that were provided to committee member sand reviewed prior to
the meeting included: Mission Statement, Goals & Objectives, and Performance
Measures, 2001 annual Town Report summary on LPD, Article printed in
Lexington Town Newsletter titled “The New LPD” and article published in
Christian Science Monitor newspaper referencing LPD employee focus group
initiatives.
6. Committee members enthusiastically commended LPD for its remarkable
initiatives and progress to involve employees and unions in the organizational
development of LPD.
7. Goal for next meeting is to present an action plan for accreditation.
8. Adjournment at 8:30 p.m.
