• Minutes of May V meeting were . accepted.
• Discussion of Liberty Ride -- is doing very welt this year. we can put more
focus on our other initiatives.
• Sign designs were reviewed
o Dawn walked through town center with Center committee to assess
current number of signs.
• Discussion of committee's mission
o Tourism linked to economic benefit to town
o Susan passed out list of ideas for Tourism committee initiatives
o Dawn passed out our objectives from 2001
o Bebe will review the charge for any needed updates.
o Everyone should think about where we should go. Should we re -do
our Charge. Next meeting will focus on this.
• Dick discussed Freedom's way and Scenic Byway, and how they will affect
the town. Scenic Byway group wilt apply for a corridor Management Plan.
State Scenic Byway is awaiting approval by State Legislature and is very -
likely to pass. There are also local Scenic Byway designations.
® Everyone on the committee except one has agreed to serve for another
year. chuck will be stepping down. Dick wit[ serve for one last year.
o Discussion of status of Bill - he is a town employee. It was discussed
whether he should be in a non - voting status to avoid any conflict of
interest.
• Possible Liberty Ride end of season party in late October.
• Next meeting October 16 at 4:00.=
