HomeMy WebLinkAbout2002-11-14-HDC-min Town of Lexington Historic Districts Commission Minutes of November 14, 2002 Commissioners in attendance: Joann Gschwendtner, Chairman; Ian Adamson, Mark DiNapoli, Dan Fenn, Lynn Hopkins, and Associate Commissioner Eleanor MacQueen. PETITIONS HEARD: 910-912 Massachusetts Avenue – David Rose and Jeff Leonard received approval to install wood storm doors. Certificate No. 2002C-80 11 Harrington Road – Thomas Sheedy was denied a certificate to install aluminum gutters and downspouts. Joann Gschwendtner recused and Dan Fenn abstained from this hearing. Certificate No. 2002C-81 1760 Massachusetts Avenue – Steven Hurley, representing Lexington Center Realty Trust, received approval to remodel the storefront. Certificate No. 2002C-82 846 Massachusetts Avenue – Chris Hansen, Essentials, received approval for a sign. Certificate No. 2002C-83 7 Harrington Road– Donald Graham, representing First Parish Church, received a temporary approval for stabilizing the belfry and lantern levels of the steeple. Dan Fenn recused himself from this hearing. Certificate No. 2002C-84 CONTINUED: 1073 Massachusetts Avenue – William Erickson, representing Patrick Martin, received approval for new front door and sidelites. Certificate No. 2002C-85 1840 Massachusetts Avenue – Richard Battin, representing Boston Federal, received approval for background color on front hanging sign. Certificate No. 2002C-75 27 Depot Square – David Winston, representing Winston Flowers, received approval for five (5) wood, painted planters for window alcoves. Certificate No. 2002C-86 905 Massachusetts Avenue – Jack Shay received approval for two (2) windows and bulkhead in garage. Certificate No. 2002C-87 The Commission approved moving the garage at 956 Massachusetts Avenue six (6) feet to the east to comply with required setbacks.
