PETITIONS HEARD: 1709 Massachusetts Avenue – Tom Fenn, representing Khushboo, received approval for tables, nd chairs, and umbrellas to be used on the 2 floor balcony. Dan Fenn recused himself from this hearing. Certificate No. 2002C-28 1-16 Judges Road – Pine Grove Village received approval to replace storm doors and sliders on each of the 16 units. Certificate No. 2002C-29 7 Maple Street – Gant Redmon received approval to add a deck to the rear of his home. Certificate No. 2002C-30 11 Hancock Avenue – Upesh Patel and William Schulze, T&W Custom Builders, received approval for side porch and driveway. Ian Adamson recused himself from this hearing. Certificate No. 2002C-31 Center Revitalization Subcommittee – Sheila Watson, representing the Center Revitalization Subcommittee, received approval for 15 new barrels and 3 cigarette receptacles for the center. Certificate No. 2002C-32 1853 Massachusetts Avenue – Jean-Claude Massad, Candy Castle, received approval for 7 tables and 14 chairs to be placed in window openings and removal of “King Arthur”, pending Board of Appeals approval, if necessary. Certificate No. 2002C-33 1404 Massachusetts Avenue – Keith West received approval to remove vinyl siding and repair slate roof. Hearing continued for additional work. Certificate No. 2002C-34 3 Ellen Dana Court – Bruce Neumann received approval to repaint house different color. Certificate No. 2002C-35 CONTINUED: 12 Hancock Street – Nicholas Gall received approval to place a playset at 10 Hancock Avenue for a period of ten years. Ian Adamson recused himself from this hearing. Certificate No. 2002C-36 Visitors Center – Robert Hopwood, representing the Lexington Lion’s Club, received approval to place 2 teak benches on the pathway in front of the Visitor’s Center. Certificate No. 2002C- 37 1625 MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE • LEXINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS 02420 Minutes of May 2, 2002 (concluded) 1347 Massachusetts Avenue – William Erickson, Frank Bechtel Erickson Architects, received approval for changes to the side porch. Certificate No. 2002C-22 881 Massachusetts Avenue – Charles and Tamara Marz received approval for new onion lights at the front and side doors. Certificate No. 2002C-38 INFORMALS: 32-42 Worthen Road – Steven Mahoney, representing Battle Green Apartments, discussed possible changes to the Battle Green Apartments for updating them. Will return for formal hearing. 73 Waltham Street – BKA Architects, representing Verizon, presented plans to replace one dry cooler unit and add an additional one and extend the visible screen 30 feet. Will return for formal hearing in June. 6 Oak Street – Howard Bernstein presented plans to install an air conditioning unit. Will return for formal hearing. The minutes of April 4, 2002 were approved. The meeting was adjourned at 9:40 p.m.
