PETITIONS HEARD:
Massachusetts Avenue at Waltham Street –
Peter Chalpin, representing the Town of
Lexington, received approval for new traffic lights. Certificate No. 2002C-1
1792 Massachusetts Avenue –
Karen Packard, representing Wales Copy Center, received
approval for a new sign. Certificate No. 2002C-2
440 Massachusetts Avenue –
Heather Sweeney received approval for an addition to her house.
Certificate No. 2002C-3
1351 Massachusetts Avenue –
Jeffrey Ellowitz presented plans for fencing. Commissioners
denied request by 3-2 vote (Adamson and Denzak approved, Hopkins, Gschwendtner,
MacQueen denied). Certificate No. 2002C-4
1475 Massachusetts Avenue –
Clay Mitchell from Shomaker, Inc., representing Muzzey
Condominiums, received approval to replace all columns on rear walkway and rebuild center
walkway cover between two porticos. Certificate No. 2002C-5.

Dan Watt, representing Cary Library, received approval to put a
“thermometer” sign on the library until end of August 2002. Certificate No. 2002C-6

Judi and John Brosnan presented plans for an addition to the rear
of their home. Hearing continued for additional detail.
1365 Massachusetts Avenue –
Brian Adley’s request for a flagpole and flag at his property was
denied because he has not returned for approval. Certificate No. 2002C-7

Arch Horst, representing Faith Ferguson and Denis Haskin,
presented plans for an addition. Will return for formal hearing.

Jeff Leonard presented plan for “circa” sign. Will return for

AT&T Broadband –
Peggy Sullivan discussed the different boxes being used in the four
districts. Will return for formal hearing.
The minutes of December 6, 2001 were approved.
