Avenue/Edison Way – Chief Casey, representing the Town of Lexington Police Department, received approval for two lights to illuminate an area on Mass. Avenue for police directing traffic. Lights to be installed on two existing light poles. Certificate No. 2000C-105 27 Depot Square – Barrett Hickman, representing Kabloom, was denied a request (5-0) for a purple awning over door with wording. Certificate No. 2000C-106 52 Waltham Street – Unable to attend meeting, hearing continued to January. 14 Muzzey Street – Tracy Patterson presented plans for signage in front of building and in parking area. Continued for design changes and number of signs. Minuteman Bikeway Bridge at Grant Avenue – Peter Pratt, representing Metromedia Fiber Network, received approval to remove and replace concrete encasement. Certificate No. 2000C- 107 7 Percy Road – Matt Thenen presented plans to demolish existing house and build new house. Continued for more detailed drawings. 2001 Mass. Avenue – Steven Hurley, representing the Design Advisory Committee, received approval to install one (1) additional bench at St. Brigid Church. Certificate No. 2000C-108 1849 Mass. Avenue – Alison Haran, representing Toys on the Green, received approval for new signage consistent with the building sign guidelines. Certificate No. 2000C-109 CONTINUED: 1752/1756 Mass. Avenue – Steven Hurley, representing Jeffrey Lyons, received approval for window changes, repointing, reproofing, and repainting building. Continued for detail on windows. Certificate No. 2000C-110 10 Muzzey Street – Jennifer Patterson, representing Prime Cut Hair Salon, received approval for a new sign with a name change to blue a complete hair salon. Certificate No. 2000C-111 905 Mass. Avenue – Jack Shay received approval for column base design and granite for under porch. Certificate No. 2000C-112 1625 MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE • LEXINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS 02420 Minutes of December 7, 2000 (concluded) INFORMALS: 33 Hancock Street – Ian Adamson presented plans for proposed changes to home. Will return for formal hearing. Commission voted to put the following sentence in the guidelines: Approval of a given sign shall be limited to the owner of the business or building and shall not be transferable; signs shall be removed or resubmitted for approval when the operation or purpose of the advertised business changes. The minutes of November 2, 2000 were approved. The meeting was adjourned at 11:00 p.m.
