Five Year Capital Plan Karen Simmons distributed a copy of last year’s FY08-FY 2012 Five Year Capital Plan to members of the Recreation Committee. She reviewed the status of all outstanding projects. In additional, she provided an update on the 2008 projects: ??Valley Tennis Court Improvements – bid documents for the project will be advertised in mid August, with the bid opening in early September. The current timeline calls for construction to begin in late September with an estimated completion date of November 2007. ??Center Basketball Court Reconstruction –– bid documents for the project will be advertised in mid August, with the bid opening in early September. The current timeline calls for construction to begin in late September with an estimated completion date of November 2007. ??Bowman School Field renovation – Dave Pinsonneault is waiting for information from the School Department and the PBC regarding upcoming renovations at the Bowman School. The FY2009 Five Year capital Plan must be completed and submitted by August 31, 2007. The Recreation Committee will review the current projects and make recommendations for upcoming capital projects at the August 15, 2007 Committee meeting. 2. Don Chisholm Memorial at Pine Meadows The Recreation Committee looked at potential locations for the installation of a memorial to Don Chisholm. Bob Boudreau made the following motion: The memorial rock and plaque will be placed in the vicinity of the existing ball washer at the entrance to the third tee at Pine Meadows. 1625 MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE • LEXINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS 02420 Karen Simmons and Dave Pinsonneault will determine the exact placement. Rick DeAngelis seconded the motion. The Recreation Committee voted 4 – 0 in favor. 3. Pine Meadows Golf Club Tour John Allen of New England Golf Corporation provided Recreation Committee members with a tour of the golf course, highlighting recent and proposed improvements. Meeting was adjourned at 7:30 p.m.. Next meeting will be August 15, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. in Town Office Building Room G15.
