BOARD VOTE TO APPROVE THE FINAL COMPLETION OF THE GREELEY VILLAGE SIDING PROJECT AND ANY OTHER CONTRACT DOCUMENTS The Greeley Village CPA siding project is complete. The final payment of $15,865.00 is due to New England Builders. The housing authority is due $6,000.00 for administrative fees and the fee accountant is due $1,950.00. The entire project was completed under the budgeted amount. Upon a motion by Robert D. Peters and seconded by Weidong Wang, the Board voted to accept final completion of the Greeley Village CPA siding project. The roll call vote was as follows: YEAS NAYS ABSENT ABSTAIN Melinda Walker NONE Leo P. McSweeney NONE Robert D. Peters Nicholas Santosuosso Weidong Wang Steve attended a Designer Selection meeting along with DHCD to approve a civil engineer for the CPA Vynebrooke Village Water Remediation Project. The number one choice is Fred Russell. Mr. Russell performed the original study for this project. Once approved, DHCD will send the contract so the housing authority can move into the design phase. Upon a motion by Robert D. Peters and seconded by Weidong Wang, the Board voted to accept Fred Russell as the civil engineer for the Vynebrooke Village Water Remediation Project. Peters Nicholas Santosuosso Weidong Wang The residents of both Greeley and Vynebrooke Village have been notified that the community room accessibility project will be completed approximately 9/15/12. The housing authority has hired Richard Alvord Architects to proceed with the Countryside Village bathroom project. Approximately 13 or 14 tubs will be replaced at the village. Tubs at the scattered sites are also being replaced at unit turnover; 4 have been done so far. Upon a motion by Robert D. Peters and seconded by Weidong Wang, the Board voted to approve Richard Alvord Architect to proceed with the Countryside Village and Scattered Site tub replacement project. Peters Nicholas Santosuosso Weidong Wang The Countryside Village oil tank removal project will begin 8/13/12. The project was awarded to Tanks A Lot in the amount of $6,450.00 and the LSP award in the amount of $1,500.00. There is an additional fee for soil testing samples in the approximate amount of $500.00. Upon a motion by Weidong Wang and seconded by Robert D. Peters, the Board voted to approve Tanks A Lot to remove the oil tanks at Countryside Village in the amount of $6,450.00 and the LSP award in the amount of $1,500.00 plus an approximate additional fee of $500.00 for soil testing samples. Peters Nicholas Santosuosso Weidong Wang The Countryside Village gas conversion project RFP was advertised in the Central Register. The bids received were well over $25,000.00. Steve has refined the project whereas the housing authority will now purchase the gas conversion burners under the state contract. Steve would like to award the contract to Brian Holmes Plumbing & Heating for the amount of $5,800.00. Upon a motion by Robert D. Peters and seconded by Weidong Wang, the Board voted to award the gas conversion contract to Brian Holmes Plumbing & Heating in the amount of $5,800.00. Peters Nicholas Santosuosso Weidong Wang Steve would like to put out to bid for installation of a gas generator at Countryside Village. Both Greeley and Vynebrooke Village are generator ready in the event of a power failure. This has been discussed at meetings with the Town Manager and the Council on Aging. Upon a motion by Weidong Wang and seconded by Robert D. Peters, the Board voted to have Steve put the installation of a gas generator at Countryside Village out for bid. TD BANK SIGNATURE CARDS The new $250,000.00 federal CD at TD Bank requires a new signature card. The Board and Steve have signed. 4 ADJOURNMENT: 6:42 P.M.
