Attendees: Derek Fullerton, Ann Belliveau Heiger-Bernays called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. Request for Variance for Upgrade of On-site Sewage Disposal System for 144 Marrett Road – Fullerton informed the Board of Charles Hornig and Ingrid Klimoff’s request for a variance for the upgrade of the on-site sewage disposal system located at 144 Marrett Road, which is actually the end of Bacon Street. This is being requested because the property is surrounded by wetlands and because of established town easements, the property owner would need to disturb wetland habitat and cross the easement in order to tie into the sewer. Permission to enter the easement would require Town Meeting approval. Currently, there is a private drinking well on the property and this well will remain in place. Fullerton recommended the new system should meet current Title V Regulations along with Lexington’s Board of Health Regulations and that the design meet the following conditions listed below. The Board approved the upgrade with the following conditions: 1. The new system meets current Title V Regulations and the Lexington’s Board of Health Regulations, 2. The design engineer/sanitarian designs a system that is a minimum one foot above the flood plain elevation listed on the flood insurance rate maps by FEMA, 3. Post sampling of the well will be done approximately 3 months after the system installation and results will be submitted to the BOH. Perlmutter motioned to accept the minutes of April 12, 2007, with corrections. MacKenzie seconded. All approved. Variance request for lifeguard requirements at Drummer Boy Green Condominium, Quality Inn & Suites, and Moon Hill Community Pools – The Board granted the variance requests to Drummer Boy Green Condominium and Moon Hill Community Pools. The Board denied Quality Inn & Suites a variance until a letter is received from Quality Inn & Suites requesting a variance from lifeguard requirements that better explains the compliance of proper signage required of 105 CMR:435.23 (2) for this variance request.
