Minutes <br />Town Celebrations Committee <br />May 10, 2012 <br />Legion Hall, Cary Hall <br />Members Present <br />Suzie Barry, Dick Crogan, Linda Dixon, Mary Gillespie, Jo -Anne Granger, Paul Jenkins, <br />Sondra Lucente, Julie Miller, Bill Mix, Henry Murphy, Sandy Podgorski, Charlie Price and <br />Dave Taylor <br />Members Not Present <br />Wayne Miller, Jim Shaw and Bob Tracey <br />Business <br />• Suzie Barry convened the meeting at 5:45 pm. <br />• April 26, 2012 minutes were approved with amendments. <br />• No summer meetings are scheduled at this time, but Suzie feels that we should <br />try to get together for work sessions once a month. Members are asked to bring <br />to the May 24th meeting suggested work topics we can improve upon, even <br />change, to existing content and structure of the committee's three events <br />(Veterans', Patriots' and Memorial Days). <br />Memorial Day 2012 <br />• New VSO Ryan Lennon will be introduced to the committee at the May 24th <br />meeting. He has offered to support the committee in any way, including flag <br />decoration at Westview Cemetery. <br />• Bedford resident, Alma Hart, is our scheduled speaker. <br />• Pastor Lauren Lorincz, Pilgrim Congregational Church, is clergy representative. <br />• Jo -Anne Granger and Sandy Podgorski will extend invitations to the scouting <br />groups. <br />• Suzie has received all necessary permission to use town facilities. <br />• Bob Tracey ordered the wreaths, Suzie the buses. <br />1 <br />
