CEC, 1/02/08, 9am TOB 111 <br />SS, TE, DK, CWL, BH <br />Pat Goddard, Rob Addrelson, Tom Griffiths, Mary Ellen Dunn <br />Review of School Capital <br />$75K pre- school playground, under CPA. They have $20K private funding ($95K <br />total project cost). They'll request tax levy funds if it's not funded under <br />CPA. <br />The phone system study has been withdrawn and moved to the municipal side of the <br />budget. <br />Security system study ($50K). They'll also look at keys, and a reverse 911 type <br />of system. The $50K is an estimate that Pat came up with. It's a system -wide <br />study. <br />There was a discussion of sub - articles. We'll discuss this with RA later on. <br />Old Harrington. Install Central AC on top floor. Add power and smoke detectors <br />on both floors. There are currently 53 occupants. 41 after the 12 facilities <br />people leave. They are presently occupying the building "as is ". 375 <br />s.f. /employee. There are 35 top -floor occupants. 900 of the electrical work is <br />on the top floor. $400K total project cost, of which $350K is requested from <br />CPA. They'll move it all to the tax levy if CPC turns them down. Carpets and <br />painting ($50K) is the part that is not CPA eligible. <br />Classroom furniture ($50K). This was $50K in previous years. <br />$200K roofing replacement. None of that is for a study. The study is taking <br />place this year under FY08. <br />Safe pickup. They'll do Estabrook in the summer of 08 and Bridge in the summer <br />of 09* <br />Technology. Two tiered priorities. $400K for higher priority items and $200K for <br />lower priority items. <br />Discussion of 05/30(a). The $405K that was borrowed but unused can't be pre -paid <br />since it's been bonded. You can prepay a BAN, but not a bond. <br />Adjourn 11:OOam <br />Approved February 13, 2008 <br />
