MINUTES <br />FUND FOR LEXINGTON BOARD <br />June 15, 2004 <br />5:00 p.m., Selectmen's Office <br />Present: Dawn McKenna, Daniel Lucas, David Walsh, and Richard Pagett; Michael Novack, <br />Human Services Coordinator <br />1. Human Services Report was given. Requests totaling $4,533.71 were paid out by the <br />Human Services Fund and the fund was replenished by $5,000 from the Fund for <br />Lexington - $1,000 on 4/29/04 and $4,000 on 6/4/04. <br />2. Requests: <br />a. Lexington Center Committee - $2,500 for Center Barrel Plantings — APPROVED <br />b. East Lexington Community Association - $1,250 for Flower Barrel Program — <br />APPROVED <br />3. Battle Green Inn Gift Certificates were given to Human Services Coordinator to use for <br />emergency housing requests. <br />4. Annual Contribution to Food Pantry. Have a conversation with food pantry regarding <br />what there needs are and whether they serve non - residents and if so how many. Richard <br />Pagett, who volunteers at the food pantry, thought they had good funding this year. <br />5. Next Meeting — Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at 4:30 p.m. <br />6. Approved the minutes of March 9, 2004 <br />7. Other — Reach out to Jed Snyder regarding tax assistance. Board members thought that in <br />light of Jed Snyder's participation in the "No Override" campaign, he might have run <br />across people who had financial need. Board will reach out to Jed to see if he might help <br />us find people who could benefit from the Fund's assistance. <br />
