FUND FOR LEXINGTON BOARD <br />Minutes <br />September 28, 2004 <br />Present: Dawn McKenna, Richard Pagett, Dan Lucas, David Walsh, Rev. Colletti and <br />Michael Novack, Human Services Coordinator <br />Next Meeting: Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at 4:30 p.m. in the Selectmen's Office <br />1. Human Services Report — Spent $1,122.50. Balance $3,355.41 <br />2. By a unanimous vote, ratified the following requests: <br />a. CG —Rent —voted to pay $1,400.00; <br />b. BB — Quarterly tax assistance —voted to pay $349.49 for 1S quarter; need to <br />decide whether to continue assistance. <br />C. RC — cremation expenses - $500.00 <br />d. LC —water bill payment - $546.23 <br />3. Other Issues: <br />a. Human Services Guidelines — use the money as needed, no need to set up fund. <br />b. Discussion on How to Ensure Emergency Help and Counseling Continues <br />C. Mrs. McKenna will call the food pantry regarding what their needs are. <br />4. Requests: <br />Human Services — $4,014.74 for LB — tabled for further information <br />Human Services — Christmas Trees for people in need — not approved <br />Human Services — Christmas Clothing for people in need — approved $5,000 <br />Lexington High School — Landscaping Committee - $6,000 — approved $3,000 <br />Tree Committee - $2,885 for Tree Survey — tabled to look for funding through Town. <br />This should be a municipal expense item. <br />Chamber - $350 for posting of community and cultural events — approved $350 <br />CG — NStar Balance — approved up to $500 <br />5. Approved the minutes for June 15, 2004. <br />
