Minutes Town Celebrations Committee March 22, 2012 Legion Room, Cary Hall Members Present Suzie Barry, Dick Crogan, Mary Gillespie, Jo-Anne Granger, Paul Jenkins, Julie Miller, Wayne Miller, Bill Mix, Henry Murphy, Sandy Podgorski and Charlie Price Members Not Present Linda Dixon, Sondra Lucente, Jim Shaw, Dave Taylor and Bob Tracey Business  Suzie Barry convened the meeting at 7:05 pm.  March 15, 2012 minutes were approved and accepted with two amendments. Patriots’ Day 2012 Morning Events Reenactment There are two designated handicap seating sites – one, in front of the reviewing stand and, the other, in front of the Minuteman statue. Youth Parade & Ceremony  Abby Grant and Sarah Lehman of the Youth Committee will be this year’s masters of ceremony at the green.  Mary Gillespie is still searching for a vocalist. Suzie can suggest someone if a student is not available. Afternoon Parade  Suzie has not had a response from the Bruins.  Most sponsorship letters have been mailed by the Chamber of Commerce.  Suzie walked the green with the appropriate town department representatives.  Several Brookline Bank employees are available to help.  Membership assignments will be discussed at next week’s meeting.  Votes were taken on the following motions –  to accept six groups for participation at no fee, including Living History.  to accept one marching band group for a fee.  to accept a vehicle group at the same fee as last year. All motions passed unanimously and were accepted.  Committee set out the parade order. Meeting adjourned at 8:30 pm Respectfully submitted by Sandy Podgorski
