MINUTES <br />FUND FOR LEXINGTON BOARD <br />December 15, 2009 <br />4:30 p.m., Selectmen's Office, Town Office Building <br />PRESENT: Norman Cohen, George Burnell, Father Colletti, Dan Lucas and Emily Lavine, <br />Assistant Director for Family Services, Human Services Department <br />1. Approximate amount of money available as of 11/30/09: Income: $25,687.38 <br />Principal: $74,742.73 <br />Money received to date from Solicitation Letter: $20,578.00 <br />Spent: $2,445.98 Printing /Sorting <br />Fund Mailing <br />2. Human Services: <br />a. Emily Lavine gave the Human Services report. The Department receives many <br />requests for help with housing and utilities. Father Colletti will donate some <br />additional Stop &Shop cards. All of the gift cards for clothing have been distributed. <br />b. Ratified Poll Vote 4 -0 — Holiday Gift Certificate Program - $3,170.75 <br />c. Ratified Poll Vote 4 -0 — Citizens Academy - $623.80 <br />d. Ratified Poll Vote 4 -0 — Client T - $1,000.00 <br />e. Ratified Poll Vote 4 -0 — Client RM - $300.00 <br />3. Other Issues: <br />a. Voted 4 -0 to accept gifts in honor of Elaine Dratch to be used for free Lexpress <br />passes for those in need. To date, $175.00 has been contributed. <br />b. Voted 4 -0 $2,000 for LHS Landscaping ($4,000 was requested). <br />4. The minutes of the September 22, 2009 meeting were approved 4 -0. <br />5. The next meeting will be March 16, 2010. <br />
