Tourism Committee Meeting Minutes <br />Monday, January 24, 2011 <br />Room 111 <br />Members present: Kerry Brandin, Carla Fortmann, Dawn McKenna, John Patrick, <br />Fred Johnson Staff: Masha Traber <br />Guest: Alison Falotico, new Head Guide for Lexington Historical Society <br />Absent: Susan Bennett, Mary Jo Bohart, Bebe Fallick, Mary Gillespie, Coleen McAdam, Paul <br />O'Shaughnessy, Lou Sideris, Jim Shaw <br />There were not enough members were present for valid votes so no decisions were <br />made. The following items were discussed: <br />Business visits relating to the new map are continuing. <br />Antony Event -John Patrick presented the poster and tickets to the event are <br />available. Kerry will send an email to the committee asking them to publicize. <br />Adams Art Grant - no word yet. <br />Marketing - AAA Marketplace <br />Some preliminary plans for the booth were discussed and suggestions made: <br />• Background - 3'xS' Betsy Ross flag, Visitors Center Historic Houses <br />poster, large MM photo, large Liberty Ride trolley photo <br />• Brochures to distribute: Liberty Ride, First Shot Rack Card, Tourist <br />Map, Scottish Rite Museum. #? 3 -5000 each <br />• Free candy - Musket Balls Carla will ask Candy Castle for price <br />• DVD HD promotion was discussed. If we had one, it could be shown at <br />the Marketplace and perhaps used elsewhere. How to proceed, <br />pricing and whether we need professional help with this were <br />discussed. <br />Liberty Ride <br />Brochure - changes to text were suggested. <br />The Lexington Historical Society as withdrawn its request for increase in its 3 <br />house ticket reimbursement has been withdrawn for this coming season. <br />Battle Green Master Plan -Fred Johnson discussed some of the parking <br />considerations and wanting all committees involved to have input. Feb 1St is <br />deadline for comments on this plan which is available online. <br />Documents available for use <br />1. Minutes of January 10, 2011 <br />2.
