Lexington Tourism Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Monday, March 8, 2010 at 4:00 p.m., Room 111 <br />Members Present: John Patrick, Dawn McKenna, Mary Gillespie, Paul O'Shaughnessy, Masha <br />Traber Liberty Ride Coordinator <br />Absent: Susan Bennett, Mary Jo Bohart, Kerry Brandin, Bebe Fallick, Carla Fortmann, Lou <br />Sideris, Kathleen James, Selectmen Liaison Peter Kelley <br />Visitor: Hope Place <br />There was not a quorum of members present. As a result we had a general discussion about <br />topics, but no votes could be taken. <br />1. Activities <br />a. Masha and Dawn attended the AAA Marketplace at Patriot's Place. We made some <br />very good contacts with several organizations, including the people from Williamsburg. <br />They recommend that we consider having a table next year. It was all people intending <br />to travel in the next year. <br />b. The GMCVB would like us to continue our ad on the inside front cover of the Visitor's <br />Guide. The Liberty Ride can participate, Dawn will check to see if the other <br />organizations will as well. <br />c. We talked about the design of the Official Map and Guide. The suggested distribution <br />points are Museum, Visitor's Center, Aloft and Element. <br />d. Our MOTT sponsorship has been submitted. The Logo has been completed by Kerry <br />and we discussed what we could put on the 500 chairs and what to have in our booth <br />display. <br />2. Liberty Ride <br />a. We discussed the possibility of advertising on the Salem Trolley Tour vehicle. Dawn <br />will get the information and bring it up for a vote at our next meeting. <br />b. CTM has AAA offices in NY & CT as areas where we have not previously distributed. <br />Since there will not be a Greater Merrimack distribution we will be looking for ways to <br />reach 5 -7,000 visitors that we will not have since that site closed. <br />c. Suggestions people had for making the meetings more attractive for members to attend. <br />3. Next meeting will be Monday, March 22, 2010 at 4PM. <br />Respectfully submitted, Dawn McKenna <br />
