MINUTES <br />Greenways Corridor Committee ACROSS Lexington Task Group <br />February 15, 2012 4-5:30 pm <br />Room G -15 Town Hall <br />Members Present: Rick Abrams, Alex Dohan, Eileen Entin, Keith Ohmart <br />Subject Discussed: Across Lexington project. Discussion only, no votes taken. <br />1. Critical steps to complete the installation of the first trail loop were identified as <br />follows: <br />a. Create new trail connecting the Cheisa Farm property across Diamond <br />Middle School property to connect with new trail on Victory Garden Way <br />property allowing access to Hancock Street. Keith will create a project <br />outline. <br />b. ACROSS Lexington logo design needed. Rick will propose several <br />options at the February 28 full committee meeting. <br />c. Trail signage system — Mike has already taken on the task of proposing a <br />trail signage system design with a delivery date of early March. <br />d. Fund raising for purchase of signs /materials for phase 1. Keith will <br />prepare an outline of tasks. <br />e. Critical presentation meetings to be scheduled: <br />- DPW (Rick to coordinate) <br />- Police (Rick to coordinate) <br />- Bicycle Advisory Committee (discuss with Peggy Enders at <br />February 28 full committee meeting) <br />2. Remaining town committee presentations — Keith will create a prioritized list of <br />remaining town committees which should be approached for a presentation <br />meeting. <br />3. Publicity - Rick volunteered to develop an outline of possible publicity measures <br />to take to promote use of the first trail loop upon completion. <br />4. Budgeting Emily Schadler's time — Karen Mullins has requested an estimate from <br />GCC in regards to time requests of Emily's time for FY 2013. We identified the <br />following likely needs and plan on reviewing these against a more comprehensive <br />project outline for the first loop phase which Rick will prepare. <br />- Conservation Department oversight of Diamond School trail <br />construction <br />
