Minutes of the Lexington Capital Expenditures Committee (CEC) Date, Place, and Location: October 28, 2011, 8:00 a.m., Cary Memorial Building, Ellen Stone Room Members Present: Ted Edson, Vice - Chair; Bill Hurley; Shirley Stolz; David Kanter Member Absent: Charles Lamb, Chair Other Attendees: Glenn Parker, Chair, Appropriation Committee Documents Presented: 1. Lexington Housing Assistance Board (LexHAB) Memo to the Lexington Community Preservation Committee, October 24, 2011, Regarding Compliance with Guidelines for Purchase of Single - Family House at 1 Wilson Road, Lexington 2. Lexington CEC Report to 2011 Special Town Meeting (14Nov2011) Draft#3, October 27, 2011. Mr. Edson called the meeting to order at 8:03 a.m. Discussion Items: 1. Purchase by LexHAB of House at 1 Wilson Road, Lexington. The Committee acknowledged that LexHAB's purchase of that 3- bedroom, cape - style, house with a 2 -car garage is consistent with the guidelines included with funding appropriated at the 2011 Annual Town Meeting; however, the Committee was disappointed that it wasn't provided the opportunity, as specified by those guidelines, to provide its input to the Board of Selectmen before that Board votes —which it did, supporting the purchase, at its meeting on October 26, 2011. 2. Minutes of the Committee Meeting, September 27, 2011. It was moved and seconded to approve those Minutes as presented. Vote: 3 -0 -1 (Bill Hurley abstained) 3. Draft #3 of Committee's Report to the 2011 Special Town Meeting. The Committee agreed that draft properly represented the Committee's position at this time, but that the report would continue to be refined with a final version to be approved at the Committee meeting scheduled for November 1, 2011.
