MINUTES —LEXINGTON CONSERVATION COMMMISSION September 25, 2007 <br />Commissioners present: Joyce Miller, Stew Kennedy, Dick Wolk, Angela Frick, Phil Hamilton, <br />Duke Bitsko, David Langseth <br />Others present: Karen Mullins, Administrator; Adam Bossi, Assistant Administrator; Louise <br />Vinci, Department Clerk <br />Joyce Miller, Chair, opened the meeting at 7:30 p.m. in room G -15, Town Office Building. <br />7:30pm Plan Change: 125 Shade Street <br />Present for the applicant /homeowner: Edward Schadler homeowner <br />Mr. Schadler submitted plan and explained drainage issues on his property as well <br />as neighboring properties. He stated he had installed a catch basin in his yard and <br />would like to connect his catch basin to municipal storm water drainage system. <br />Administrator Mullins informed the commission that previous discussion with <br />Mr. Schadler indicated only springtime drainage would overflow into municipal <br />stone water drainage. <br />Comments from the commission to follow: David Langseth said he would like <br />some time to review plans submitted and asked that Mr. Schadler come back on <br />October 9"'. <br />7:45 p.m. Continued Hearing_ 177 Grove Street, <br />DEP# 201 -705, BL 662; M/L 0087000005 <br />Present for the applicant /homeowner: Steve Eriksen, Norse Environmental <br />Doug Lees, Land Engineering and Environmental Services <br />Don Borenstein, Attorney <br />Richard Kirby, LEC <br />Steve Erikson began by speaking to the Horns' concerns regarding water levels by <br />stating that Tutela Engineering had already addressed these issues in its original <br />review. <br />Administrator Mullins informed the commission that Tutela Engineering had <br />approved the plan and recommended the commission forward the Horns' question <br />to Peter Fletcher, the project soil scientist. Ms. Mullins also pointed out that the <br />plans showed a two -foot ground water separation level. <br />Doug Lees told the commission that he was present at original test pit digging, <br />and was also present at Peter Fletcher's test pit digging, and he stated that the <br />water table followed the ground slope. Attorney Bernstien felt that the same <br />questions had been raised, examined, and proven, again and again. Commissioner <br />Langseth asked Mr. Lees to make a sketch to help clarify issue. <br />Five minute break called to allow Doug Lees to draw sketch. <br />Page 1 of 5 <br />
