<br /> <br />Town of Lexington <br />Historic Districts Commission <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES OF June 3, 2010 <br /> <br />Commissioners present: Chairman, Joseph Welch, and Daniel Griffin <br />Associate Commissioners present: Carl Oldenburg, Marilyn Fenollosa, Scott Kyle, and Barbara <br />Feldman <br />Department Clerk: Amy Casparius <br />Absent Commissioner: Alfonso Hernandez, Paul Ross, and Robert Warshawer <br /> <br />PETITIONS HEARD: <br />FORMAL HEARINGS <br /> <br />955 Massachusetts Avenue <br />, map 22 Lot 11, -Joanne Gschwendtner, representing, Lynne & <br /> <br />Joseph Welch, received approval by of vote of 5-0 for changes to the front and side entry doors, <br />shutters on the main body of house and exterior lighting. A packet showing the cut sheets of <br />doors, shutters, and lighting was presented. Certificate No 2010C-26. Chairman Joseph Welch <br />recued himself. <br />Voting Commissioners were: Acting Chairman Daniel Griffin, and Associate Commissioners <br />Carl Oldenburg, Marily Fenollosa, Scott Kyle and Barbara Feldman <br /> <br />505 Massachusetts Avenue Unit # 9: <br />1 map 48 lot 275 unit 9 – Robert Sullivan, representing, <br />Joseph Walsh, received approval by of vote of 5-0 to rebuild rear deck using Azeck decking and <br />railing caps along with Cedar Balusters. The Stair leading to the lawn will be removed, and the <br />deck will be painted to match the house. An elevation of the deck and a sample of the decking <br />material were submitted. Certificate No. 2010C-27 <br />Voting Commissioners were: Chairman Joseph Welch, and Daniel Griffin, and Associate <br />Commissioners Carl Oldenburg, Marily Fenollosa, and Scott Kyle <br /> <br />6 Bruce Road <br /> map 14 lot1C- David and Anne Nuss received approval by a vote of 5-0 to <br />replace front steps with granite and extend railing. Photographs of the existing condition, <br />drawing of stairs and a cut sheet of railing were presented. The commission requested the <br />applicants provide a few more details to the HDC clerk for the file. Certificate No. 2010C-28 <br />Voting Commissioners were: Chairman Joseph Welch, and Daniel Griffin, and Associate <br />Commissioners Carl Oldenburg, Marily Fenollosa, and Scott Kyle <br /> <br />CONTINUED HEARINGS <br /> <br />46 Bedford Street <br /> map 57 lot 14A- Jamie Kelley, representing, Dan Yu, received approval by a <br />vote of 5-0 to relocate a utility pole currently near drive thru back to the berm, thus eliminating a <br />transformer. Certificate No. 2010C-29. Dan Yu discussed the location and size of a freestanding <br />sign. They will try different locations on the corner of Bedford Street and Worthern Road and <br />re-present. This Hearing remains open until the project is complete. <br />Voting Commissioners were: Chairman Joseph Welch, and Daniel Griffin, and Associate <br />Commissioners Carl Oldenburg, Marily Fenollosa, and Scott Kyle <br /> <br />1605 Massachusetts Avenue, <br /> map 48 lot 169 - Patrick Goddard, Lexington Public Facilities, <br />requested the hearing for exterior lighting be continued until July 2010 <br /> <br />1625 MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE • LEXINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS 02420 <br /> <br />
