<br />MINUTES – LEXINGTON CONSERVATION COMMMISSION March 8, 2011 <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioners present: Stew Kennedy, Phil Hamilton, Duke Bitsko, Charlie Wyman, David <br />Langseth <br /> <br />Absent: Joyce Miller, Dick Wolk <br /> <br />Others present: Karen Mullins, Conservation Administrator; Louise Vinci, Conservation Clerk <br /> <br />Vice-chair Phil Hamilton opened the meeting at 7:30 pm in Room G-15 of the Town Office <br />Building <br /> <br />7:30 pm Informal Hearing: 23 Ridge Road, <br /> <br />Duke Bitsko disclosed that he would recuse himself from meeting and not <br />participate. <br />Virginia Johnson presented existing conditions plan of property and proposed 162 <br />square foot addition over pavement, pavers and concrete. Ms. Johnson described <br />structural issues with framing and foundation and proposed options. <br /> <br />The Commission affirmed that the new regulations now under consideration <br />would be more stringent and make the addition more difficult to construct. <br /> <br /> Duke Bitsko rejoined meeting. <br /> <br />7:47 pm Meeting: 5 Ledgelawn Avenue, <br /> DET# 11-03; Map <br />Present for the applicant: Julita Kussmaul <br />Documentation: Request for Determination of Applicability <br /> <br /> Phil Hamilton read the public notice into record. <br />Julita Kussmaul described a proposal to remove an existing deck and construct a <br />screened porch and deck. Proposed porch roof drains would tie into existing <br />drywell. <br /> <br />Comments from the Commission follow: David Langseth asked if the drywell <br />design was on file in the Conservation Office. Administrator Mullins confirmed <br />that it was. The Commission would like to condition a drain connection plan be <br />provided before construction begins and a certification of drain connection once <br />connected. <br />Motion made and seconded to issue a negative determination with conditions, 5-0 <br />in favor. <br /> <br />7:57 pm Hearing: NOI, 8 Summer Street, <br />Present for the applicant: Mary Trudeau, Consultant <br />Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br />
