<br /> <br /> <br />Minutes <br />Town Celebrations Committee <br />May 26, 2011 <br />Town Office Building, Room 111 <br /> <br />Members present <br />Suzie Barry, Dick Crogan, Linda Dixon, Jo-Anne Granger, Paul Jenkins, Julie Miller, Wayne Miller, <br />Bill Mix, Henry Murphy, Sandy Podgorski and Bob Tracey <br /> <br />Members not present <br />Mary Gillespie, Sondra Lucente, Charlie Price, John Rossi, Jim Shaw and Dave Taylor <br /> <br />Business <br /> <br />Suzie Barry called the meeting to order at 7:35 pm. <br /> <br /> <br />The April 28, 2011 minutes were accepted with several changes. <br /> <br /> <br />Suzie will schedule two work sessions in June to address issues that need attention. At <br /> <br />the moment, several major topics of discussion will be banner bearers, essay contest <br />and online submission of forms. <br /> <br />Memorial Day, May 30, 2011 <br /> <br />Committee members should plan to meet as usual (8:15 am) at the white house. <br /> <br /> <br />Suzie recapped the morning’s schedule. <br /> <br /> <br />The prediction is for warm weather -- water will be available. <br /> <br /> <br />Bill Mix will read General Logan’s Order of the Day. <br /> <br /> <br />The portable sound system is available for use at the Munroe cemetery gazebo and <br /> <br />ceremony at the green. <br /> <br />Mike DaRu of the Lt. Col. John W. Hudson Club of Lexington, MA will read the <br /> <br />Gettysburg Address at the gazebo; Sam Doran, same organization, will make comments. <br /> <br />Fr. Colletti is guest clergy. <br /> <br /> <br />State Senator Ken Donnelly is invited to give a brief presentation and say a few words <br /> <br />about the Lexington VA Hospital volunteers. <br /> <br />Jeremy Brick is the morning’s vocalist. <br /> <br /> <br />We have not heard from either of the scout groups. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
