<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Minutes of Board of Registrars <br />Meeting of June 24, 2010 <br />Town Office Building – Room 111 <br /> <br />Present: Luanna Devenis [R], Chairman; Sarah Warren [D]; Jean Barrett [R]; <br /> Donna Hooper [U]. <br /> <br />Chairman Luanna Devenis called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. <br /> Meeting Minutes <br />: <br />o <br /> Sarah Warren moved to approve minutes of June 16, 2009 & January 30, 2010. <br /> Unanimously Approved. <br /> Board Chairmanship <br />: Sarah Warren moved Luanna Devenis be elected Chairman. <br />o <br />Unanimously Adopted. <br /> Election Officers <br />: Donna Hooper distributed listing of interested person to be <br />o <br />appointed as Election Officer for the upcoming year, and reviewed procedures and <br />changes in election officer rolls. Following some brief discussion Sarah Warren <br />moved: <br /> <br /> MOTION <br />: That the Registrars approve the list of Election Officers as submitted. <br />Unanimously Adopted. <br /> <br /> Assistant Registrars <br />: Donna Hooper explained long standing policy of appointing <br />o <br />staff persons of the Town Clerk’s Office as Assistant Registrar to act in the capacity <br />for the certification of signatures, processing of census responses, voter registration <br />processing. <br /> MOTION: <br />To approveTown Clerk’s Office staff Dianne Snell, Lisa Maguire, <br />Carmelina Fiore, Karen Kruger & Nasrin Rohani as Assistant Registrars, for a <br /> <br />period of 1 year; an authorize use of Board of Registrar signature stamps. <br />Unanimously Adopted. <br /> <br /> General Discussion: <br />o <br /> <br />Fall election schedule – September 14 Primary, November 2 State <br />o <br />Election; voter registration sessions for August 25 & October 13 <br /> <br />2010 List of Residents and Town Clerk’s Office continuation to reach out <br />o <br />to newly turned 18 year olds for voter registration <br /> <br />2010 Federal census, future redistricting, reprecincting, .
