Registrar/Asst.Town Clerk: Dianne Snell <br /> <br />Chairman Luanna Devenis called the meeting to order at 3:05 p.m. <br /> Meeting Minutes <br />: <br />o <br /> Sarah Warren moved to approve minutes of June 18, 2008 and November 19, 2009. <br /> Approved 3 in favor, 1 abstention. <br /> Board Chairmanship <br />: Following brief explanation of election of Chairman, Sarah <br />o <br />Warren moved Luanna Devenis be elected Chairman. Unanimously Adopted. <br /> Election Officers <br />: Donna Hooper distributed listing of interested person to be <br />o <br />appointed as Election Officer for the upcoming year, and reviewed procedures and <br />changes in election officer rolls. Following some brief discussion and compliments <br />to those serving as Election Officer, the following motion was made: <br /> <br /> MOTION <br />: That the Registrars approve the list of Election Officers as submitted <br />pending receipt of any additional nominations from the Republican and <br />Democratic Town Committee by July 24, 2009; and upon which time should <br />additional names be received the Registrars will meet on July 29, 2009 @ 3:00 <br />p.m. to review names to the Board of Selectmen for approval. Unanimously <br />Adopted. <br /> <br /> Assistant Registrars <br />: Donna Hooper explained long standing policy of appointing <br />o <br />staff persons of the Town Clerk’s Office as Assistant Registrar to act in the capacity <br />for the certification of signatures, processing of census responses, voter registration <br />processing. <br /> MOTION: <br />To approve Town Clerk’s Office staff Dianne Snell, Lisa Maguire, <br />Carmelina Fiore, Karen Kruger & Nasrin Rohani as Assistant Registrars, for a <br /> Unanimously Adopted. <br />period of 1 year. <br /> <br /> MOTION: <br />To authorize the use of signature stamps of the board of Registrars <br />for use by the Town Clerk’s staff in the absence of the Registrars when signatures <br />are required. Unanimously Adopted. <br /> <br /> General Discussion: <br />o Donna Hooper reviewed status of the 2009 List of Residents <br />and Town Clerk’s Office continuation to reach out to newly turned 18 year olds for <br />voter registration.
