<br /> <br />Board of Registrar Meeting of <br />June 18, 2007 – 3:00 p.m. <br />Minutes <br /> <br />The meeting of the Board of Registrars was called to order at 3:00 p.m. <br />Present: Luanna Devenis [R], Chairman; Ann Miller [R]; Gerald L. Abegg [D]; Donna Hooper <br />[U], Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />The Board voted unanimously to approve the meeting minutes of July 7, 2006. <br /> <br />Election officer appointment process and recommendations for officer appointment were <br />discussed. The Board reviewed the current listing of election officers with names of newly <br />interested voters wishing to serve as Election Officer and voted unanimously to recommend <br />the list to the Board of Selectmen. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Assistant Registrars – The Board voted unanimously to appoint Marlene Doyle, Carmelina <br />Fiore, Lori Manning, Lisa Maguire and Nasrin Rohani of the Town Clerk’s Office as <br />Assistant Registrars in accordance with MGL c. 51 §22. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The Board discussed need or interest in appointing Assistant Registrars at Lexington High <br />School and Minuteman Regional Vocational High and decided not to make any appointment <br />but acknowledged the importance of having contact persons in-lieu of Assistant Registrars. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Town Clerk Donna Hooper reviewed current initiatives for Election Day Registration (same- <br />day voter registration). <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The Registrars discussed precinct 1 and precinct 4 voting locations and recommended the <br />Board of Selectmen consider relocating polls back to previous locations at Harrington School <br />and Lexington High School. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Town Clerk Donna Hooper reviewed dates for upcoming elections in March 2008, <br />September 2008 and November 2008. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned 3:30 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Donna M.
