<br /> <br /> <br />Board of Registrar Meeting of <br />July 7, 2006 – 9:30 a.m. <br />Minutes <br /> <br />Chairman Luanna Devenis called the meeting to order at 9:30 p.m. <br />Present: Luanna Devenis [R], Chairman; Ann Miller [R]; Gerald L. Abegg [D]; Donna Hooper <br />[U], Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />The Board voted unanimously to approve the meeting minutes of June 23, 2005. <br /> <br />Election officer appointment process and recommendations for officer appointment were <br />discussed. The Board reviewed the current listing of election officers with added names <br />from recommendations received from the Town Committees and voted unanimously to <br />recommend the list as presented to the Board of Selectmen. Listing totals 177 registered <br />voters, comprised of 28 Republican, 73 Democrat, and 76 Unenrolled voters. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Assistant Registrars – The Board voted unanimously to appoint Jean Coates, Marlene Doyle, <br />Carmelina Fiore and Lori Manning of the Town Clerk’s Office as Assistant Registrars in <br />accordance with MGL c. 51 §22. <br /> <br /> <br />Town Clerk Donna Hooper summarized election legislation pending, issuance of the Annual <br />List of Residents, voter inactivation postcard notices, and the Fall 2006 election calendar. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />New Business: <br /> <br /> <br />Brief discussion was had on Board of Registrar and Election Officer stipends <br />o <br /> <br />2006-2007 potential Proposition 2 ½ override voting <br />o <br /> <br />Voter Registration activities and outreach at Lexington High School <br />o <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned approximately 10:25 a.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Donna M.
