Hooper, Clerk <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Board of Registrar Meeting of <br />May 6, 2003 – 3:30 p.m. <br />Minutes <br /> <br />Chairman Mary Abegg called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m. <br />Present: Mary Abegg, Chairman; Luanna Devenis, Ann Miller; Donna Hooper, Clerk <br /> <br /> Welcome <br /> – Registrar Ann Miller was welcomed to the Board by members Mary Abegg, <br />Luanna Devenis, and Donna Hooper. A brief discussion ensued on the role of the Registrars <br />and opportunities for service during the upcoming year. <br /> <br /> <br /> Census Recap and Annual List of Residents <br /> – Donna provided status update on completion <br />of 2003 Annual Town Census, upcoming voter “inactivation” and final product of Annual <br />List of Residents. <br /> <br /> <br /> Voter Registration <br /> – <br />nd <br /> <br />Registration deadline for upcoming proposition 2 ½ override vote / June 2 <br />o <br />Special Election was discussed. Ann will help staff the 4:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. <br />session in the Town Clerk’s Office. Mary and Luanna will be out of town. <br /> <br />Donna updated the Board on opportunities for a voter registration session at the <br />o <br />Lexington High School during senior week. The opportunity was well received. <br />Mary will spearhead efforts. <br /> <br />Discussion on Assistant Registrars ensued; with current Asst. Registrar Margaret <br />o <br />Bradley now retired there is a need for new Asst. Registrar at LHS. Mary will <br />pursue with LHS history teacher George McCormack. Need for annual re- <br />appointment of Assistant Registrars was discussed and planned for next meeting. <br />Donna will be in contact with Mary DeSimone at Minuteman Regional Voc. High <br />School. <br />th <br /> <br /> Election Officer Appointments & Annual Meeting <br /> – Registrars tentatively set June 19 as <br />date for annual meeting at which the recommendation to Board of Selectmen for annual <br />appointment of Election Officers will be voted. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned approximately 4:45 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Donna M.
