Hooper, Clerk <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Board of Registrar Meeting of <br />November 16, 2002 <br />9:00 a.m. <br /> <br /> <br />Minutes <br /> <br />Present: Registrars Mary Abegg, Luanna Devenis and Donna Hooper <br />Absent: Registrar Connie Foster <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. to count overseas ballots for the November 5, 2002 <br />State Election. <br /> <br />th <br /> <br /> <br />Ballots were counted and tallied into the returns for the November 5 election. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />New Business: Registrars briefly reviewed the Ney-Dodd-Hoyer-McConnell Help America <br />Vote Act of 2002 and possible outreach to high school and college aged voters to serve as <br />Election Officers. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Registrars discussed MGL c.54 §16A and voted unanimously to request adoption at the 2003 <br />Annual Town Meeting, with adoption of such act viewed to provide greater flexibility to <br />administering election and retaining election officers. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned approximately 10:30 a.m. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Donna M.
