She said
it might make sense to consider working with James McLaughlin, although he
hasn’t yet met with anyone on the LBAC. Plowing did cause some damage to
the guardrails this winter, trees are down, and there are a lot of broken tree
branches on the sides of the trail. We will address this problem with the DPW
and during our spring clean-up. As the snow melts along the Bikeway and in
other areas of town along streets, sidewalks, and conservation trails, it is evident
that some dog owners are not picking up after their pets. This poses a health
hazard. Probably the best course of action to combat this problem is education.

Roads Heavily Traveled by Cyclists:
Bob Dangel will send John Livsey the
map and the spreadsheet as requested as soon as possible.

Bikeway Usage Guidelines
: Marita volunteered to help George with this
project.

LWV First Friday Forum on Multi-Modal Transportation Planning
: The forum
will be held on Friday, April 1 at Cary Library. Panel members Richard Canale,
Michelle Cicollo, John Livsey, and Sara Arnold will talk about “Complete Streets-
Transportation Planning for Lexington’s Future.”
