<br />MINUTES <br />Lexington Center Committee <br />Thursday, September 16, 2010 <br />8:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m. <br />Room G-15, Town Office Building <br />1625 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington MA 02420 <br /> <br />In attendance: <br /> Jerry Michelson (chair), Richard Brown, Pam Shadley, Joe Rancatore, Maria <br />Kieslich (guest), Pam Lyons, Larry Smith (guest), Janice Frascatore (guest), Frederic Johnson, Jeff <br />Lyon, Howard Levin, Peter Siy <br />Staff: Brianna Olson <br />Liaisons: George Burnell, Board of Selectmen; Wendy Manz, Planning Board <br /> <br />Meeting Called to Order: 8:05 a.m. <br /> <br /> Department of Public Works Update on activities: <br /> <br />1.Members discussed the communication <br />between the DPW and the committee and the best way to convey concerns. <br /> <br />Action: Chair Jerry Michelson will talk to DPW Director Bill Hadley. <br /> <br />2.Update on Center Parking Management Recommendations: Reminder that the Lexington <br />Chamber of Commerce will host the consultant Jason Schrieber of Nelson/Nygaard in a forum on <br />the center parking study. <br /> <br />3.Presentation on Storms drain markings: Stew Kennedy of the Conservation Stewards informed <br />the Committee of their program to improve the health of the various streams in Town. The Center is <br />bisected by the Vine Brook. Medallions will be attached to storm drain curbing as part of the <br />education program for healthy waterways. <br /> Action: Committee unanimously supported the installation of the medallions. <br /> <br />4.Update on White House historical assessment: Dick Brown provided an update on the analysis <br />that has been conducted. An evaluation of the age and value of the various parts of the structure has <br />been completed. The Final Report will be completed next month. The historical assessment of the <br />White House is expected by the end of the month. <br /> <br />5.Center Vision update: George provided notes from the vision meetings that were held. The <br />exercise highlighted the need to have a unified vision among all Center concerned groups, such as <br />tourism. Concern is that deliverables and action be part of a common vision. <br /> Action: The Physical Space Subcommittee and the Programmatic Subcommittee will provide items <br /> for a work plan. <br /> <br />Meeting Adjourned: 9:30 a.m. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted by S.
