<br /> <br />Lexington Housing Partnership <br />Meeting Minutes for December 11, 2008 <br /> <br />Attendees: <br /> <br />Bob Bicknell, Florence Baturin, Ken Kreutziger, Melinda Walker, Winifred McGowan, <br />Betsey Weiss, Tom Harden, Chris Kluchman, Wendy Manz, Mary Haskell, Jeri Foutter <br /> <br />Bob Bicknell chaired the meeting and took the minutes. The meeting was called to order at <br />7:11 pm. <br /> <br />1. Open Meeting <br />The October minutes were approved with the correction of several name spellings. <br /> <br />2. Sub-Committee Reports <br />Report of the Chair – Mr. Bicknell <br />Consortium of Local Towns: A meeting was held with the consultant. A <br />survey will be sent to LHP members to get their input. The members from <br />the towns of Lexington, Lincoln (and Weston), Belmont, Waltham and <br />Watertown discussed their hopes for mutual support as well as potential <br />problems. <br />Meeting with LexHAB - The joint town meeting was discussed with <br />regard to possible support for LexHAB activities. The Affordable <br />Homebuyer Assistance Program Statement of Objectives was discussed <br />and the matter of the Busa property was covered. <br />Annual Town Report for LHP – A draft was circulated. Changes should be <br />forwarded to the chair. A group picture was taken by David Tabeling, the <br />town’s photographer. <br />Report from Lexington Housing Foundation – Ms. Foutter presented the statement of <br />contributions since inception of the Foundation and a yearly summary of income and <br />expenses. Copies are included as Attachment A. to these minutes. Mr. Bicknell <br />raised the question of possibly providing support to the Jefferson Union development <br />to make the affordable unit available sooner. Ms. Haskell agreed to look into the <br />situation and report what she finds to the Partnership. <br /> <br />Housing Briefs – Mr. Bicknell agreed to forward the Briefs received from Ms. <br />Snellings to all members of LHP. <br /> <br />Busa Farm Status - The summary of a discussions Ms. McGowan has had with Ms. <br />McGarvie, one of the owners was discussed. Mr. Bicknell also reported on his <br />conversation with Karen Mullins, the town’s Conservation Commission staff person. <br />The family has apparently organized with attorney support and is seeking a solution. <br />Karen suggested we coordinate with the Conservation Commission’s Land <br />Acquisition folks to provide our support for a solution that would include affordable <br />housing on the property. Ms. McGowan agreed to serve as our coordinator and to <br />research the status of the Chapter 61a. provisions that apply to some of the lots in <br />question. It was also noted that Legal Notices have been published in the <br />Minuteman for some of the lots. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
