<br /> 65-439 <br />Selectmen’s Meeting <br />July 13, 2009 <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held on Monday, July 13, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. in <br />the Selectmen Meeting Room, Town Office Building. Chairman Cohen, Mrs. Krieger, Mr. <br />Kelley, Mr. Manz and Mr. Burnell; Mr. Valente, Town Manager; and Ms. Pease, Executive <br />Clerk, were present. <br /> <br />Town Manager Report <br /> <br />Mr. Valente reported that the new Public Services Building has received a Building Occupancy <br />Permit and DPW/Engineering, Public Facilities and DPW Operations have moved in over the <br />past week. Other divisions will occupy the building over the next month. The mechanics shop <br />needs to be completed prior to moving any vehicles into the new building. A ribbon cutting <br />ceremony will be planned for early August and a public open house in September. <br /> <br />Grant of Location – Verizon – Hayes Avenue <br /> <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted 5-0 to approve the petition of Verizon to <br />construct, and a location for, a line of conduits and manholes with the necessary wires and cables <br />therein to be located under the surface of Hayes Avenue, northeasterly at Pole 44/4, a distance of <br />about 38 feet + of conduit. <br /> <br />Grant of Location – National Grid – Hayes Avenue <br /> <br />Mr. Simon, 11 Hayes Avenue, asked when the work would be done and if the gas will be turned <br />off. The National Grid Representative stated that as soon as the permit was approved <br />arrangements would be made to do the work and it should be done within three days. <br /> <br />After hearing a story on the news, Selectmen asked about how the Town could get important <br />information about all gas leaks and what is being done. The National Grid representative will <br />request contact information. <br /> <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted 5-0 to approve the petition, WO #662064 – <br />Hayes Avenue, for National Grid to install and maintain approximately 85 feet of 2-inch gas <br />main in Hayes Avenue from the existing 2 inch main on Hayes Avenue at House #22 westerly to <br />House #21. <br /> <br />Patriot Partners <br /> <br />Mr. Buckley, Riemer and Braunstein, and Mr. Zink, Principal of Patriot Partners, came before <br />the Selectmen to answer any questions regarding their refiling of an amendment to the <br />Preliminary Site Development Use Plan (PSDUP) originally approved by the 2004 Annual Town <br />Meeting to permit the development of an additional 380,000 square feet of research and <br /> <br /> <br />
