He <br />referred to the previous function of the old Belfre Club formerly <br />laps to y rn�erly on <br />that site, and <br />p transfer the Club's activities to the new <br />facility. <br />Mr. Kent stated that Town lease of parking spaces on site can be <br />continued on weekdays and that it is not Grace Chap inter <br />p ractice. He s � t to shut <br />off the <br />p said he would be happy to work with the Town on <br />that issue. <br />�n response to concerns about the size and placement of the <br />building in relationship to other area structures a sketch will be <br />Prepared* Mr, Kent <br />will have that info ready for presentation to <br />interested Town Boards and Committees. <br />A traffic study, concluding no major impact has been submitted with <br />Grace Chapel's application to the Board of Appeals. Mr. Kent noted ed that <br />a shuttle bus service to alleviate traffic conjestion will be <br />implemented,, <br />He stated that an alternate location would be considered on the <br />basis of a land swap, if a suitable lot could be found, <br />Mr. Marshall, with reference to the parking issue. felt that <br />private owners should not be expected to solve the Town's r�obl <br />p with the problem P �' <br />although help p em would be welcomed <br />Bo ar d s Mr White stated that he saw need for cmprehensive review b Town Now <br />of the plans of the Church rather y <br />than information given on a <br />piecemeal basis. He mentioned issues still not addressed such as the <br />future use of the building, should Grace Chapel wish to give u th <br />� g P e <br />Youth Center and asked <br />for commitment to the stated use., He advised a <br />Covenant to transfer the building to the Town if the traditional use was <br />to be discontinued, <br />He added that he would also want to discuss the tax exemp status <br />of the facility before the Nov � <br />ember 17th of is hearing. <br />Mr. Kent said that the Church might give the Town first option to <br />chase at mark � <br />Pte` et value, but would not be agreeable to giving the <br />facility to the Town, <br />Don Olson, Design Advisory Cam ittee member, reported on his <br />camnittee's discussion of the scale of the proposed structure in <br />relationship o existing istang area buildings. <br />Mr. Olson showed elevation and site plans and photos and made <br />canpar isons of existing buildings with the proposed facilit with r e g ard <br />to bulk and scale. He noted that � <br />at the Grace Chapel bw.lding will be <br />sited in such a way that it will be very dcminant in the area, <br />Mr. Kent listed the positive impact the facility will have and its <br />benefits to the youth of the Town and asked that these aspec of the <br />proposal be considered as sped <br />well as the negative concerns which had been <br />brought up. <br />Further meetings with Town Boards were planned., to be scheduled <br />when complete information is ready and all requested l ans have been <br />prepared, p ond <br />
