<br /> <br />NOISE ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br />MINUTES <br />1 December 2009 Meeting <br /> <br />A duly posted meeting of the Noise Advisory Committee (NAC), held in the Legion <br />Room, Cary Hall, was called to order at 7:30 PM by Chairman Tony Galaitsis with <br />members Jeanne Krieger, Martha Wood, Steve Kropper, Bob Earsy, Jack Maloney <br />present. Myla Kabat-Zinn was absent. <br /> <br />Photo for Town Report <br />The NAC posed for a photo for the Town Annual Report. Chairman Galaitsis <br />volunteered to generate a draft report for the Annual Report. <br /> <br />Approval of the 8/4/09 Minutes <br />Minor edits were proposed and adopted. Jack Maloney moved for approval of the <br />minutes as amended. Approval of the revised minutes was adopted unanimously. <br /> <br />2010 NAC Meetings Schedule <br />The NAC set up a baseline schedule for 2010 with meetings at 7:30 pm on the Second <br />Tuesday of each month, namely: <br />January 12 July 13 <br />February 9 August 10 <br />March 9 September 14 <br />April 13 October 12 <br />May 11 November 9 <br />June 8 December 14 <br /> <br />Noise from the Shire Site <br />The question of noise emanating from existing operations at the Shire site was raised. A <br />suggestion was made that the Town Building Commissioner brief the NAC on the up-to- <br />date noise results and planned testing at the site. It was noted that the NAC’s role is to <br />advise the Board of Selectmen (BOS) upon their request to review specific noise-related <br />matters. In that respect, the NAC offers its assistance to the BOS or to the Building <br />Commissioner for review of any noise-related information about the Lexington <br />Technology Park. <br />Discussion of noise regulations and test data from the site ensued. <br /> <br />Following a motion and a unanimous vote to adjourn, the meeting ended at 8:15 pm. <br /> <br />Steve Kropper, <br />Secretary Pro Tem <br /> <br /> <br />NAC 2009_12_01 minutes <br />
