Peggy reported on the CPC meeting that had taken place a half an
hour earlier, where DPW Engineer John Livsey presented the Minuteman
Bikeway restoration proposal.

Meeting Dates
: We plan to have our February meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 10
to avoid a conflict with the LWV candidates’ night. Peggy will contact John
Livsey to see if he is available.

Bikeway Plowing:
The bikeway was well plowed on December 9 and 20. (The
Treasurer’s report will discuss costs.) There was a marginal storm on the
December 19, which resulted in some icing. In the future Peggy will instruct our
plower to plow even under marginal circumstances to avoid icing. She agreed to
update the list of plowing contributors and send their names to the Minuteman
newspaper to give a public thanks for contributions. Peggy handed out FoLB
keep-the-Bikeway-clear business cards to give to people we meet so they will
know how to contribute.

Bedford
: Peggy received a note from Terry Gleason saying the town is making
progress on the extension to Route 62 along the rail line. Stone dust or asphalt
pavement are the two options being considered for the roadbed.

Bikes Not Bombs:
Peggy mentioned that the Farmers’ Marker would like to
work with the committee on a Bikes-Not-Bombs collection early this summer.
