<br /> <br />Lexington Housing Partnership <br />Meeting Minutes for November 19, 2009 <br /> <br />Attendees: <br /> <br />Bob Bicknell, Carol Marine, Winifred McGowan, Wendy Manz and Laura Egan, a visiting <br />graduate student in public health from Regis College who is studying affordable housing. <br /> <br />Bob Bicknell chaired the meeting and took the minutes. The meeting was called to order at 7:40 <br />pm. <br /> <br /> <br />1.Sub-Committee Reports <br /> <br />Consortium of Local Towns <br />Ken Kreutziger and I met with the representatives of Belmont, Watertown, Waltham <br />and our consultant, Louise Elving on Nov. 18 to review the steps ahead to form the <br />consortium. <br /> <br />1. <br />A memorandum of agreement is being prepared. <br /> <br />2. <br />Need a formal vote to participate. <br /> <br />3. <br />Action steps need definition on how and how much funds we will contribute. <br />Lexington Housing Partnership report for Town Annual Report <br /> Circulated for approval and comments. <br />Plan for Leary Land Housing on Vine St. <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting held with stakeholders and Sasaki Assoc. <br />Agreed to have Sasaki prepare a presentation which we would show the <br />interested public to explain options for providing affordable housing units on <br />the site. <br /> <br /> <br />We would then meet again to review their work (Scheduled for tomorrow, Nov 20 at <br />2pm in room 111 Town Hall.) Then we would have a meeting with abutters to present <br />the material that Sasaki has prepared. <br /> <br /> <br />This would result in an approach for LexHAB to follow in developing the site. <br /> <br /> <br />The town has also initiated work to define what will be done to the existing historic <br />farm house and what options will cost. <br />CPC Report by Wendy Manz <br /> <br />LexHAB plans to acquire 2 houses. One on Marrett Rd for approximately $400K and <br />one unit at Emerson Gardens for approximately $300K. These proposals will be processed by <br />the CPC and, if approved, will go to Town Meeting for approval in the Spring. <br />2. Cambridge Savings Bank Grant: <br /> <br /> We discussed ways to promote more votes on our behalf. It was suggested that all <br />reach out to their e-mail or twitter, etc. groups to solicit votes. Bob agreed to send out a flyer to <br />help with this effort. <br /> <br />2. Nominating Committee for Officers <br /> The chair expressed his intent to form a nominating committee to propose a slate <br />of new officers for the Partnership. <br /> <br />Next Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 21, 2010 <br />
