<br />A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held on Monday, Janu-
<br />ary 14, 1985, in the Selectmen's Meeting Room, at 7:30 p.m. Chairman Bat-
<br />tin, Mr. McLaughlin, Mr. Marshall, Mr. Eddison -; Mr. Hut- chinson, Town Manager;
<br />Mr. Cohen, Town Counsel; Ms. Adler, Assistant to the Town Manager and
<br />Mrs. Snow, Executive Clerk.
<br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to layout the follow --
<br />ing FY'86 streets:
<br />Emerald Street, 400' from Asbury Street
<br />Garfield Street, 7 00' + from Reed Street to Earl Street
<br />Philip Road, 1,5 50'+ from Worthen Road to Rockville Avenue

<br />Upon motion :duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the appli- 1 -day
<br />cation of Albert Balyozian for One -Day Auctioneer License on February 3, Auctioneer
<br />1985, for the sale of oriental rugs at St. Nicholas Church, Meriam Street, Balyozian
<br />Lexington.
<br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, -it was voted to approve the re- Ch. /Comm.,
<br />quest of the Lexington Chamber of Commerce for permission to serve wine and sys , of
<br />beer at monthly meetings of its Board of Directors in the Visitors Center,, wine /beer

<br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve transfer Transfer

<br />Mr. Perry, Comptroller, introduced Jim Russell, Arthur Andersen & Co. Auditors
<br />to report on his f firm's audit of the Town for FY' He reported that the report
<br />Town continues to be in sound financial condition and reviewed results of
<br />examination of the Town's FY'84 financial statements, as presented in a docu-
<br />ment entitled "Financial Statements as of June 30, 1984, Together with
<br />Auditors' Report ". He noted that the closing of the books- and auditing pro-
<br />cess had gone smoothly, and that no material weaknesses are evident. He was
<br />pleased with forward thinking practices employed and felt that results were
<br />particularly noteworthy since the Town has new people in key positions, i.e.
<br />turnover in the Town Treasurer and Assistant Comptroller positions.
<br />In review of the "Memorandum on Accounting Procedures, Internal Controls
<br />and other Matters" dated June 30, 1984, Mr. Russell commented on new pro--
