. <br />SELECTMEN'S MEETING <br />June 6, 1983 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held in the Select- - <br />men's Meeting Room, Town office Building, on Monday, June 6, 1983 at <br />7:30 P.M. Chairman Crain, Mrs, Battin, Mr. Politi and Mr. McLaughlin; <br />Mr. Hutchinson, Town Manager; Mr. Cohen, Town Counsel; Miss Adler, Assist- <br />ant to the Town Manager and Miss Casey, Executive Clerk were present. <br />Mr. Zehner met with the Board to request approval of a $50,000 Chap- <br />ter 90 loan as requested by Mr, Fields. He explained that the proceeds <br />would be used for highway layout and highway construction with 100% re- <br />imbursement from the State. <br />Mr. Zehner explained that the�note will be dated June 10 and become <br />due November 30 with interest at maturity and recommended Old Colony of <br />Burlington, the lowest bidder. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the re- <br />quest of the Town Treasurer to borrow $50,000 from the old Colony of Bur- <br />lington, the lowest bidder, at an interest rate of 3.85 %. <br />The Chairman thanked Mr. Zehner and he retired from the meeting. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the <br />Manager's appointment. of Anthony Porter, 48 Hill Street to the Youth Com- <br />mission for a three year term expiring on April 30, 1986. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the <br />Manager's appointment of James Wanless, 28 Sherman Street to the Council <br />on Aging for a three year term expiring June 1, 1986. <br />Chapter 90 <br />Loan <br />Mr, Zehner <br />Ap p t . <br />Youth Com. <br />Appt <br />Council or <br />Aging <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to amend the Traf- Traffic <br />f is Rules and order as follows: Rules & <br />"By adding to Article V, Section 2, Schedule #1 the following: orders <br />Location Side From To Type Parkin Winthrop <br />Winthrop Rd. Ave 300' North No Parking Rd. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the <br />recommendation of the Chief of Police to post "No Trespassing Per order <br />of the Board of Selectmen" signs at the North Street Pit. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the <br />following requests of the Manager from the Reserve Fund: <br />$220,000 to Account 1775 -- Legal Fees <br />3,000 to Account 1800 Legal Expenses <br />North St. <br />Pit Signs <br />Transfers <br />
